This box was inspired by Jim Ison. I first meet Jim when he taught a class to make a miniature Shaker hutch which you see in this box. I was so impressed by his skills that I soon decided to do a room box displaying some of his work. The fireplace, beams, flooring, pewter accessories and furniture were all made by him. All I had to do was design a room around them. The pottery pieces were hand crafted by Jane Graber. I took artistic license to put her pottery in this room even though I know it is not from this period. I just liked the color in the room.
